By 2025, at least two-thirds of the population of our planet will be living with water shortages.

Arctic Blue Waters are continuing the research into The Appalling Facts about our Earths Diminishing Water Supply with the report that by 2025, at least 2/3rds of the population of our planet will be living with water shortages.

Water covers 70% of our planet and we all take it for granted that water will always be ready availa-ble, however the water we drink, bath in and the water we use in our farm fields with is in fact incredi-bly rare. Only 3% of the world’s water is fresh water, and 2/3rds of that is tucked away in frozen glac-iers or otherwise unavailable for our use.

As a consequence, some 1.1 billion people worldwide lack the availability to water and a total of 2.7 billion find water in short supply for at least one month of the year. Insufficient sanitation is also a problem for 2.4 billion people. These people are open to diseases, such as cholera and typhoid fe-ver, and other water-borne illnesses. Two million people, mostly children, die each year from diarrheal diseases alone as Arctic Waters previously wrote about in an earlier article.

Many of the water systems that keep ecosystems flourishing and feeding a growing human popula-tion has become stressed. Rivers, lakes and aquifers are drying up or becoming too polluted to use. More than half the world’s estuaries have vanished from view. The agriculture sector consumes more water than any other source and also wastes much of that through inefficiencies. Climate change is changing the patterns of the weather and water around the world, causing shortages and droughts in some areas and floods in others.

At the current consumption rate, this situation will only get worse. By 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population may face water shortages. And ecosystems around the world will suffer even more.

Arctic Blue Waters is seeking a major beverage manufacturer/distributor in China that would consider bottling our Arctic bulk water from Alaska. The bottling plant of this firm should be within 100 km of water storage tanks located at the Humen Sea Port, Dogguan, China. The raw pure Arctic bulk water could be transported in food-grade tanks by truck from the storage tanks at the port to the bottling plant.
